Shalom EPA!
My name is Marnie Lang and I’m your 2010-2011 Mem/Kad VP! I don’t know many of you as well as I would like so here are some fun facts about me for you all to know:
- I am a member of ALLENTOWN USY
- I am a sen1or at Moravian Academy in Bethlehem!
- I have been attending EPA conventions since I was in 4th grade (I went as a guest with my dad)
- EPA has been my entire life since I became a full member in 8th grade. I’m going to miss it so much when I go to college.
- My favorite color is blue
- I have an 11 year old dog named Peanut and my parents like to refer to her as my sister
- Last year I was your Winter Convention Co-Chair and Mem/Kad RGB and it was a fantastic experience
- My favorite convention is Spring (mostly because it’s in a hotel, but also because that’s when we elect the next year’s leadership and the dance is always amazing)
- Slow ruach is one of my favorite aspects of convention when everyone participates: it’s absolutely incredible and yes, I am one of the few who cries during it
- My favorite service during convention is Kab Shab; there’s such great energy in it and I look forward to my first service of every convention!
- Havdalah is my absolute favorite part of conventions. The energy is amazing and is a great way to end Shabbat; it’s not the same anywhere else.
- Like our Regional President, Sara Neadle, I am also extremely clumsy; I trip over myself all the time.
- My biggest hope is that through my board position this year I will be able to make at least one person who is on the fence about USY realize just how incredible our organization is: we’re truly one of a kind.
